By Statlas Editorial · 1 min read

Cliodynamics is a more recent discipline (2000s) applying mathematical modeling to long-term historical cycles, the rise and fall of empires, demographic cycles, extending cliometrics from retrospective analysis toward genuine prediction. Its founder is Peter Turchin (born 1957, Russian-American evolutionary biologist and historian).
